Finite Element Analysis Engineer - ANSYS
Our client is currently seeking talented FEA Structural Engineer to join their team and support them with a new Marine project. To Review, comment and approve drawings for subsea steel structures based upon Engineering Design.

Role
- Perform Structural Analysis tasks in Finite Element Analysis using ANSYS.
- Detailed stress analysis of offshore structures using the Finite Element Technique.
- Detailed design calculations in accordance with latest Industry Codes and Standards including statutory rules and regulations (DNV GL, API, AISC, EC).
- Prepare high-quality Design Reports and to maintain records in accordance with Department Operating Procedures
Experience
- Degree in Mechanical / Design Engineering or similar.
- Experience of delivering high-quality Structural Engineering using Finite Element Analysis.
- Highly Skilled in using ANSYS for FEA.
- Ability to apply engineering principles to solve challenging problems and to work effectively within a small team.
- Background in the design of structures for oil & gas, offshore wind.
Advantage
- Marine / Offshore / Subsea design practices and developments
- Subsea / Marine / Offshore regulations, codes of practice, and design standards
- Ideally Chartered Engineer or progressing towards charted status.
- Experience in programming using Python is an advantage.
