Our client is currently seeking talented FEA Structural Engineer to join their team and support them with a new Marine project. To Review, comment and approve drawings for subsea steel structures based upon Engineering Design.

Role

• Perform Structural Analysis tasks in Finite Element Analysis using ANSYS.
• Detailed stress analysis of offshore structures using the Finite Element Technique.
• Detailed design calculations in accordance with latest Industry Codes and Standards including statutory rules and regulations (DNV GL, API, AISC, EC).
• Prepare high-quality Design Reports and to maintain records in accordance with Department Operating Procedures

Experience

• Degree in Mechanical / Design Engineering or similar.
• Experience of delivering high-quality Structural Engineering using Finite Element Analysis.
• Highly Skilled in using ANSYS for FEA.
• Ability to apply engineering principles to solve challenging problems and to work effectively within a small team.
• Background in the design of structures for oil & gas, offshore wind.

Advantage

• Marine / Offshore / Subsea design practices and developments
• Subsea / Marine / Offshore regulations, codes of practice, and design standards
• Ideally Chartered Engineer or progressing towards charted status.
• Experience in programming using Python is an advantage.

Role type: Contract.  Location: UK or EU. Flexible / Hybrid / Work from Home
