AI in engineering using GNN - PyTorch Geometric, 3D data, 3D mesh, CAD, CAE 

Lead AI Researcher – GNN for CAE/ CFD Engineering

 

Lead AI research into enhanced physics for engineering eg aerodynamic and hydrodynamic optimization, among many others. Design of deep learning-based CAD/CAE framework that automatically generates 3D CAD designs and evaluates their engineering performance.  

You will be responsible for creating the AI roadmap. And working with CTO, select which models to use for complex data architectures as well as help build the system.

Help drive the transformation of engineering design evaluation using AI.

Work with other engineers and AI specialists for Engineering in sectors including Automotive, Aerospace, Biomedical & Renewable Energy.

Conducting research and implementing cutting-edge AI methods in Fluid Dynamics and Aero/Fluid dynamic design optimization.

Developing advanced Deep Learning techniques for 3D Design optimization Eg aerodynamic applications

Essential Experience & Skills

  • Good STEM Degree +  Masters (AI/ Machine Learning / Neural Networks/ GNN)
  • AI / Neural Network research in any of the following: CAE/ CAD/ CFD/ GNN/ PINNs.
  • Maths/ Modelling / CAE/ CFD/ CAD with experience in AI development.
  • PhD in related field would be an advantage  
  • GNN (Graph Neural Networks) (Julia, Flux). A graph neural network library written in Julia and based on the deep learning framework Flux.jl.

Experience using any of the following tools: PyG - PyTorch Geometric (PyTorch), TensorFlow GNN (TensorFlow), jraph (Google JAX) or

  • Plus any of: 3D Geometrical Deep Learning/ 3D data/ 3D mesh

 

  • Physics-Informed Neural Networks (PINNs)
  • Foundational AI models, including development experience.
  • AI using Neural Operators.
  • Diffusion Models.

Advantage:

AI experience in any of the following: CAE/ CAD/ CFD/ GNN/ PINNs.

3D shapes: voxels, point clouds, meshes, and implicit functions

Advantage to have developed AI in an engineering environment – ideally CAE.

Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Must be Keen to keep updated with industry trends and technologies.

Phd in relevant field very useful

NB: will need Good STEM degree + masters &/ Ideally Phd
