Lead O&M Engineer with Mechanical / Electrical / Marine engineering experience on equipment for offshore structures. Would suit Senior / Principal / Lead with Background in the design of offshore equipment for either Offshore Wind, Offshore Substations or Oil & Gas platforms.

• Operation and Maintenance for Offshore Equipment / Utilities for Offshore Wind,  substations/ platforms.  
• HV: preventive & corrective maintenance, protection & control activities, HV testing, switching operations.
• LV: mechanical systems, utilities, structural inspections, marine access operations.

• Writing / reviewing / improving Technical and Engineering Requirements
• Asset-management: reliability assessments, maintenance workload forecasting, and optimization of inspection intervals.
• Maintenance strategies and operational documentation for the offshore platforms.

Experience

• O&M /BoP/ Offshore Equipment / Utilities for Offshore Wind or O&G substations/ platforms
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical, Civil, Structural, Marine or similar.
• Operation and Maintenance for Offshore Platforms
  • HV systems (switchgear, transformers, protection & control),
  • LV/auxiliary systems (HVAC, fire detection, power supply, communication),
  • Mechanical & structural systems on offshore platforms.
• O&M documentation: inspection regimes, intervention workflows, marine access,  spare-part strategies, HSE procedures and emergency response protocols.
• technical writing skills (procedures, maintenance plans, specifications, tender docs).

Requirements:

• BEng / BEng (Hons) in a relevant engineering discipline or equivalent practical experience.
• Ideally Inter Array cables knowledge. Export Cables an advantage.

Location & Work Environment

• Remote based or Office-based with occasional visits to clients
• UK mostly with some travel to Europe.

HV Electrical Engineer – UK Renewables

Exciting & senior level opportunity has arisen for a well-established and respected engineering company specialising in high-voltage electrical power infrastructure and grid connections.

Based in UK, this role requires someone who has experience in HV Electrical engineering To Manage high-voltage renewable projects.

Role

• Equipment layouts, single line diagrams and technical electrical design packages including cable schedules, technical calculations and testing, and commissioning procedures
• Electrical design interfaces, technical procurement and quality processes for HV projects
• Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers on design, installation, and commissioning.
• Select Design Consultants, Equipment Suppliers and Subcontractors & submit technical information for subcontract tenders
• Non-Conformance Reports on technical deviations
• Compliance with statutory requirements and company standards
• Submit technical information and scope of works for the commissioning process
• Manage simulation studies for generation connections eg load flow, reactive power capability, fault level analysis, power quality, and harmonic studies.
• Compliance with Engineering Recommendations, Distribution Code & Grid Code.

Essential Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar
• Experience working on HV Electrical Engineering projects
• Proven ability of good communication and influence at all levels
• Identifying compliance shortfalls or engineering opportunities within designs
