Commercial Manager - Engineering - Autonomous Vehicle Technology
Senior role in a team delivering game changing autonomous vehicle hardware & software.
Solutions for the sectors: Automotive, Industry, Mechanical Handling, Special Purpose Vehicles, Agricultural, Defence.
You need excellent knowledge and experience of the Mechanical Handling sector. Understand what end users want to do, then evaluate what is required and build a new product to achieve this (while fitting the correct price point). You will need a strong knowledge of MHE industry trends, good mix of technical, commercial, communication and teamwork skills.

Role
Client facing role working with clients and suppliers in Mechanical Handling Equipment (MHE) industry to identify and understand client requirements and then help build a high tech solution
Be able to communicate effectively with clients at all levels including technical.
Have an expert level understanding of the sector and what the market wants. Both now and in the future - future requirements, applications and next-generation products.
New Product Introduction for Tier 1 & OEMs in baggage handling, forklifts, Vehicles, agricultural, defence, military.
Cross-Functional role working with clients, design & systems design engineers, product developers, sales teams. Hit target milestone and achieve growth in sales/ revenue
Experience:
- Degree in Electronic, Electrical or Mechatronic engineering. Or Software/ IT or similar
- Background in mechanical handling equipment sector (MHE) & know the key players.
- Technical - design and development in Electronic systems, AI, Autonomous Vehicle Tech.
- Client facing & Commercial skills eg Business development, NPI, Key Account Management.
- MHE (Automotive/ Vehicles/ forklift / baggage handling) engineering experience
Advantage:
Any experience of autonomous driving systems – controls, electrical, sensors, Machine Learning, Machine vision, electronic, software, Object detection sensor, smart robot AI,
ADAS, Driving Robots, Drive-by-wire, Blind spot detection, Self-driving vehicle sensor validation with multiple vehicles and junctions.
Please note: Excellent Knowledge of the MHE sector, a Technical or Engineering Degree plus relevant technical background essential. Plus: New Product Introduction for high end design engineering Business Development/ Commercial skills are essential for this role
